When did Cannabis first come into your life?

Ten years ago, when I was 13. Sorry, Mom!

How did you become a Budtender?

Evan and I have been good friends for seven years and he always had a goal to open a store in Anchorage. I watched him achieve that and I’m so honored to be a part of it.

What is your favorite part of the job? Being around and selling something that I love so much, and am so passionate about, plus being able to educate and help others enjoy something so wonderful. I just love being a part of this growing industry.

What’s your favorite way to consume?

Blunts! I love rolling and smoking them.

What are your favorite strains and producers? Frost Frontier of course! Cereal Glue and Wedding Cake are my favorites, and I love Mercy Tree of Alaska – their Mercy Fruit Haze is incredible. I also love AKO Farms and Refine Alaska for concentrates. I dab a lot and I love my Puffco!

How do you find the right Cannabis for a customer?

I love talking to people about weed, and all the different strains and how they affect you differently. Getting to sample each one and have the knowledge to educate customers is a dream come true to me. It’s so enjoyable for me to help someone find what they are looking for, or be there to help when they are curious to try something new.

Why do you like working at Frost Farms? Working for Evan is so full-circle for me. Seeing my friend go from talking about something he wanted to do, and then watching the process of him execute that idea, has been amazing. But to also get to work at his business and help it grow is something I’m thankful for every day.

What are your hobbies when you aren’t working at the dispensary?

Does smoking count as a hobby? I smoke a lot! I do love to travel and go to concerts and music festivals, so I pretty much spend my time working and saving up for the next trip! I’m very into music – music and marijuana are two of my greatest passions.
